Gigi’s Ice Cream Shop is a cheerful new addition to downtown Tamaqua, offering an easy stop for hard ice cream, soft serve, over-the-top sundaes, shakes, and other sweet treats. The shop serves approximately 20 hard-ice-cream flavors from Hershey’s and Lehigh Valley micro-creamery Batch, along with chocolate, vanilla, and twist soft serve from nearby Leiby's. The menu also includes seasonal creations and playful house specials, such as the Myla Special—vanilla ice cream with homemade blueberry compote, graham-cracker crumbs, whipped cream, a cherry, and blue-and-gold sprinkles—and the Cyrus Cookie Chaos, packed with cookies, Oreos, cookie dough, and ice cream.

There is plenty to enjoy beyond a cone: locally made doughnuts from Ateira’s on First in Lehighton, churros, soft pretzels, hot dogs, milkshakes, coffee drinks, “dirty sodas,” and optional strawberry or blueberry boba add-ons.
