White Birch Golf Course is a public 27-hole course set on a former dairy farm in the rolling countryside outside Tamaqua. Established in 1963, it offers a relaxed local golf experience with plenty of open views and a welcoming atmosphere for both regular golfers and casual visitors.

Even if golf is not on your itinerary, White Birch is worth knowing about for its small, old-school restaurant. It is a convenient local stop for a hearty, no-frills breakfast or lunch before or after a day at nearby Tuscarora State Park.
